TUESDAY TRIUMPHS...Rosie's Broadway Kids

Oh My God!

I have looked into the face of the future and it is bright, beautiful and it sounds like magic in a bottle!

Last night I had the privilege of spending the evening with Rosie's Broadway Kids at their spring performance here in New York.  Rosie and her life partner Kelli started this foundation to bring musical theatre into New York City Schools.  This is an arts education organization that is dedicated to enriching the lives of children through the arts. Using professional teaching artists, Rosie's Broadway Kids provides instruction in dance and music and a professional theater experience for children who might otherwise not have the opportunity.

These kids have triumphed over adversity to achieve their goal of one day being on the stage as a professional. The amazing professionals that Rosie and her team bring in to mentor the kids are Broadway superstars themselves and their dedication is admirable.  The greatest achievement is that 100% of these students go on to high school...almost all having been accepted into the upper echelon of New York public schools!

Bravo Rosie!  Bravo Kids!  You have a fan for life!

  2. I'm so happy to have found this blog (mentioned on a Rosie.com post); how gratifying and enlightening to see you both serving to make this world a better, more positive place. Tho' I had missed seeing your smiling faces on morning TV, I feel you've both transcended to a higher place .. These blogs are YOU, that's a welcome change from 'morning talk' !
